PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO

Photography has been one of my passions ever since I received a Polaroid instant camera when I was 8. Through the years, travel and nature have been added to my list of hobbies and passions. I've coupled them with photography to preserve memories and present my adventures to friends, family, and whoever runs across my Instagram profile.

What started as a hobby has also allowed me to earn commissions, sell prints, create unique gifts, and receive photo credits on various websites and the occasional print publication.

There's a difference between taking snapshots and capturing a mood or moment. Though sometimes a snapshot is exactly what's called for. Being a visual storyteller through Graphic Design has honed my skills in framing and composition. Sometimes it feels effortless, but I'll often go out of my way trying to get the perfect shot, teetering on a bluff's ledge, being swarmed with mosquitoes and biting flies, waiting for what feels like an eternity for people to move out of the photo I've already framed in my mind. Patience is key.

Knowing my passion for photography, the companies and clients I've worked with have also allowed me to hone my product photography skills (examples below). With a degree in Broadcasting, I've also incorporated that knowledge into my visual storytelling through video. I've been involved in storyboarding, set-up, production, and editing video shoots for company events, press conferences, informational videos, videos produced to be shown at company events, and videos made for personal reasons.
